Responsibilities:
-
Design
embedded software for instruments covering software architecture, requirement
analysis, OS porting, driver development and application development.
-
Must
have strong design skills and will be able to work with multidisciplinary teams
to deliver results on time, with high quality and within budget.
-
Responsible
for the design / implementation / maintenance of embedded software
-
Drive
the technology synergy and design reuse for the different product lines.
-
Drive
the design productivity improvement by standardizing design processes, tools,
design practices and building up a common platform.
-
Responsible
for the technology incubation and growth in the Embedded Software domain,
support local product managers to grow the Embedded Software related skill set
for China emerging needs
Minimum
Qualifications:
-
BS/MS
degree or higher in engineering background
-
A
minimum of 5 years’ experience in new product development.
-
Proficient
in C/C coding and troubleshooting skill.
-
Good
skill set in boot loader, RTOS and Linux (involving kernel, driver)
-
Solid
embedded software and hardware debug skills
-
Familiar
with ARM hardware architecture and general IDE (Eclipse, IAR, Keil)
-
Experience
with communication programming on RS232 / RS485 / Ethernet / SPI / I2C / USB,
etc.
-
Experience
in unit test (e.g. gtest, cppunit) and python programming.
-
Knowledge
of software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer
review.
-
Strong
communication skill (both English and Chinese) and influence skill to work with
cross-functional and cross-geographic teams.
-
Work
to deadlines and respond effectively to demanding customer requests.
-
A
proven fast learner, self-motivated, willing to take challenges
-
Good
teamwork.

Preferred
Qualifications:
-
Profound
understandings and experience in Agile software development.
-
Experience
with QT or similar UI framework is highly preferred.
-
Experience
with analytical instrument industry or automation
